Child Nutrition at Highpoint
At Highpoint, we understand that there is a direct link between nutrition and academic performance. The connection between nutrition and children’s learning goes beyond simply having enough to eat. Providing children with healthy, well-balanced meals containing essential nutrients supports proper brain development, improves concentration, and helps them learn and grow.
All enrolled Highpoint students are provided free nutritionally balanced meals with the nutrition necessary to fuel academic success while building lifelong healthy habits. Highpoint participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federal program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults who are enrolled for care at participating child care centers, day care homes, and adult day care centers A confidential Meal Benefit form is completed during enrollment to document family income and demographics.
